The Home Study programme has been specially designed for self-paced learning. The Style Coaching Institute™ will work with you according to your own time schedule and there are no time constraints for completing our course or any of the assignments. One of the huge benefits of studying from the comfort of your own home is that you can fit your studies in with your lifestyle, family and present work commitments.

Due to the fact that every student has various lifestyle commitments it is difficult to say exactly how long the course will take to complete. While one student may have unlimited time, another may have a full-time job; every student is individual, but the pace you choose to take is up to you, another great benefit of home study! Generally, an average time scale would be 6-9 months, but the course has been completed in as little as 2-3 months, although this is quite unusual. To provide a rough idea of the hours of study which would typically be required, we estimate that on average the total hours would be about 200. Therefore, when this is looked at over a 6 month period you could expect to require an investment of approximately 8 hours a week (including time for all assignments to be completed generously). This would be to allow for a slow pace of study and depending on your learning style could be considerably quicker.

Home Study students will be required to complete assignments after every second module of the course (in total there are 5 assignments and a Diploma assignment). The assignments featured throughout the course have been designed to be as light-hearted and engaging as possible, one part of an assignment is to de-clutter your own wardrobe, another is to go on a ‘research’ shopping trip! We believe that the best way to learn is by practicing where possible and first and foremost enjoying the process. To complete the Diploma assignment, it will be necessary for students to find a volunteer to be Style Coached™ on a pro-bono basis. All of the assignments throughout the course are Q & A based so that students can easily complete assignments by being aware of exactly what information is required.

Please note: Students must complete all stages of study. If students are unable to attend any of the tutored days, study must be made up from home. Each tutored day begins at 9.30am and finishes at approx. 5.30pm. Price includes tea or coffee at break times and a light lunch of soup and sandwiches on all days.
